In the framework of the European Year of Skills, the State Public Employment Service (SEPE), with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy, is organising this high-level conference which, under the title “Active Employment Policies, Pillar of the European Year of Skills”, will analyse the changes taking place in the labour market and discuss their impact on people’s skills, as well as the measures to be adopted by companies, social partners and Public Employment Services to improve the employability of workers and jobseekers.

Active labour market policies are the key tool for achieving the objectives of the European Year of Skills and the European Pillar of Social Rights. They are therefore the backbone of this conference. Moreover, during the Conference, good practices will be presented and real testimonies will be shown in order to put a face and eyes to our actions.

The Conference will be attended by a variety of speakers and participants, including representatives of the European Commission, CEDEFOP, Eurofound, ETF, OECD, ILO-Cinterfor, Ministers of EU Member States, European Network of Public Employment Services, Spanish National Employment System, senior managers of companies from different sectors (transport, technology, construction, health), Spanish and European social partners from all over Europe, and experts.
